We at ND Coatings are constantly looking for ways to improve our maritime coating systems. We’re not just talking about better quality and sustainable advancements in our range of products and services. Environmental protection is becoming more and more important.
For instance, we have increasingly been preserving surfaces with water lacquers intended for use inside of cruise liners behind the insulation. These aqueous lacquers reduce solvents by as much as 75%, which in turn has a very positive impact on the VOC balance sheet. Faster drying and substantially less unpleasant smell at work are other selling points.
But that’s not all. We are also embarking on other research projects to discover ways to save fuel with pioneering underwater coatings, avenues of material reduction and new applications and properties of paints examined under ecological and economic conditions.
